Bronze@4x

A
versatile alloy

Bronze is an alloy consisting of copper and tin. If the tin content of the bronze is very high, the strength increases, but the conductivity of electricity and heat decreases. If the copper content of the bronze is higher than that of the other metals, the conductivity increases and the strength decreases.

In the electrical field, for example, wires made of phosphor bronze are used in connectors. Recycling is particularly important here in order to conserve economic resources.
