The
Hightech - Material
Regular Aluminium production is consuming a lot of energy. Using recycled aluminum reduces the energy needed to a friction of the actual energy consumption. Through recycling, it is possible to save up to 95 percent of the electricity compared to extracting Aluminium from ore. This also largely avoids toxic residues.
The overall goal of recycling is to generate a circular economy in which the aluminum can always be reused. However, this metal is a special challenge.
The majority of raw materials in scrap yards is not pure aluminum. Alloys are often found here that contain lead mixtures of other metals. This wide variety of different metal combinations makes aluminum so unique as an industrial raw material. State-of-the-art technologies help to recycle aluminum in industrial cycles.
